Don Mattingly’s unexpected run as Phillies manager may be ending after only one season. Despite guiding Philadelphia from a disastrous 9-19 start to an 88-74 finish and another playoff berth, reports indicate the organization plans to move on. The Phillies could retain Mattingly in another role while considering a new manager.
Stephen A. Smith is calling for the Cincinnati Bengals to move on from Zac Taylor after their 22-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bengals dropped to 2-2 despite Joe Burrow throwing for 428 yards, while Cincinnati’s struggling rushing attack and injuries to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins added to the pressure.
